The Specliast Clinical Technologist is part of a Medical Physics Equipment Management Section within the comprehensive Medical Physics service to NHS Lanarkshire.

These sections are located in Monklands, Wishaw and Hairmyres Hospitals and serve both the Acute and Primary Care Divisions with contracted services to the State Hospital, Carstairs, HMP Shotts and Police Scotland Holding Cells throughout Lanarkshire.

Medical equipment management ensures that vital equipment connected to patients (for the purpose of diagnosis, therapy, or life support) is operating safely and effectively.

 The Specliast Clinical Technologist will carry out the servicing/repair/clinical support on specialist medical equipment. They will ensure all work is carried out within the Section is recorded in the computer database.

  • Expertise within specialty/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently.
