Part Time - 15 hours per week (Thursday and Friday)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join our HR Team.

Working within a dynamic patient-centred service, this is a stimulating role bringing new challenges and opportunities.  In order to succeed, you will need to have a proactive and flexible approach, skilled in managing employee relations casework and have experience of working in complex, unionised environments as well as having a good working knowledge of current employment legislation. You should demonstrate an innovative approach to people development and commitment to promoting a culture of high performance to maximise the talent and skills of the Service’s Workforce. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with staff, staff partners and managers at all levels handling multi-channel communication. In return, you will really make a difference to our staff and patients of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Reporting to the HR Manager (West), you will work closely with other HR professionals as well as autonomously covering the West Sub Region (Lanarkshire, Ayrshire & Arran and Dumfries & Galloway).

You will be educated to degree level (or with equivalent level of knowledge) and hold full membership of the CIPD.  Knowledge of NHS Scotland terms and conditions would be desirable.

As this is a Regional role, regular travel throughout urban and rural West of Scotland will be a requirement.
