Job Advert

Procurement within NHS Highland is on a journey of transformation, having recently gained support to invest in a significant number of posts within the procurement team. This role represents part of that investment.

We are looking for a motivated, organised and proactive individual to come and support us through the transformation of our function. We're looking for ways to be more efficient and effective in everything that we do, so candidates need to be curious and inquisitive, and want to support the improvement of our processes.

This role will involve working with colleagues right across NHS Highland, providing support and procurement expertise across various categories. This will include all things across the Procurement spectrum, e.g. project planning, data analysis, contract development, tenders, and contract management.

Finance is a huge part of what is driving us at the moment, so candidates will be working to deliver ambitious savings targets whilst ensuring a continued focus on quality and compliance. Being able to focus on the task in hand, prioritising a busy workload and managing competing demands on your time will be key to success.

Candidates need to have great communication and interpersonal skills and be confident facilitating and supporting change. You will have to demonstrate resilience if faced with resistance to change, and be able to manage the expectations from the many people who want to make things better right now.

If you're interested in being part of something exciting and a bit different, with the opportunity to have an impact, get in touch.
