Do you want to be at the forefront of digital innovation and safer use of medicines?  NHS Scotland has committed to HEPMA implementation; it is an exciting time to join NHS Lothian as we plan to deliver this transformational change to support high quality clinical care of our patients.

NHS Lothian Pharmacy Services is recruiting an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacist to join our newly formed HEPMA pharmacy team to plan and deliver the implementation and management of the clinical aspects of HEPMA.

The successful applicant will work closely with the eHealth Programme, Project Managers and Pharmacist Team Manager to ensure the safe and effective implementation, roll out and ongoing maintenance of the HEPMA system across NHS Lothian.   There will be an opportunity to maintain a clinical commitment in an area of practice which suits the successful candidate’s experience if desired.

In addition, in partnership with the University of Strathclyde, we are pleased to be able to offer support to the successful candidate to undertake a research qualification (MPhil) as part of a programme of work to realise the benefits of the new electronic system.

You will have demonstrable experience of service development, planning, delivery and assessment of teaching and excellent interpersonal skills consistent with NHS Lothian's values of quality, teamwork, care and compassion, dignity and respect, and openness, honesty and responsibility. In return this post offers an excellent development opportunity for the right candidate -  gaining exposure to this large scale transformational change will provide a platform for career enhancement like no other.

This is a full time post; job share will be considered.
