We are seeking to recruit 2 enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) to join our Multidisciplinary Team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Candidates should have a specialist interest in Heart Failure.

Working within the multi-professional clinical team the role of the ANP-HF is integral to the smooth running of the Cardiology/Heart Failure Service. The post holder will work at an advanced level undertaking high level clinical decision making affording assessment, diagnosis and treatment including prescribing for patients with cardiology conditions and other multi-dimensional problems. Decisions are made using high level expert knowledge skills and clinical competence in the delivery of evidenced based patient centred clinical care of the highest standard in accordance with the NMC and Safety Legislation.

These posts will support the delivery of “hot Clinic”, in-patient care and ambulatory heart failure care.

The successful candidate must have well-developed demonstrable leadership and teaching skills with the ability to problem solve under pressure whilst remaining responsive to the delivery and demands within both Unscheduled and Scheduled Care work streams.

You must be a Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience within Cardiology and educated to Masters Level. A Clinical Examination Skills Qualification and a Non Medical Prescriber Qualification are also required. The posts are full time (37.5 hours per week).

This post will also be considered as in training position under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change terms & conditions.
