Specialist Dietitian – Learning Disabilities

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian to join our Lothian learning disabilities dietetic team of 3.5wte. This post will be based with the Community Learning Disability team in Midlothian Health and Social care partnership and work alongside a range of other professionals to provide a comprehensive service. As part of a full time job share post, the post holder would work with the other 0.4wte post holder to provide a service across East and Midlothian. The post holder will provide a Dietetic service to clients with complex learning disabilities either in their home or whilst in hospital and have a remit for the supervision of band 5 staff and dietetic students. It is an exciting opportunity, for a dietitian who has a keen interest in learning disabilities to become a valued member of our team.
You would be expected to participate in student training (A, B and C placements) and provide clinical training and supervision for other dietitians and other staff within the team. We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD and clinical governance, with a supervision framework, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
