Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.


As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care/assist with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse/clinician


The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward/department environment. 


Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.


To provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment in order to care for patients within the clinical area, meeting identified physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients and carers.


Assist in the care of babies, children and adolescents whose ages range from one week old to 16 years old.


Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.


Required to undertake on the job training and induction.
