A vacancy has arisen within CADS for Band 7 Team Leader within Stirling/Clackmannan based at St Ninians Health Centre.

The post holder must be 1St level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) trained to degree level with post qualifications in relevant area of speciality.  Desirable qualification would be in leadership and operational development or have a willingness to undertake this training. The post holder will provide clinical expertise, leadership and supervision to nursing staff engaged in the delivery of evidence-based, effective, specialist interventions to those with substance use problems.

The Team Leader will support the Clinical Department Manager in service development.  Deputise for the Clinical Department Manager in their absence to attend and chair meetings where required.  The post holder will be responsible for clinical governance and implementing evidence based practice.

The Team Leader will implement and support the principles of the recovery model of care and treatment for those with people with drug/alcohol related issues within the team. This involves the provision of formal, structured supervision to each member of the nursing team to ensure patients in treatment are progressing along the recovery pathway and receive the appropriate clinical interventions are being delivered to this vulnerable group.

The substance use services promote the recovery model works to an integrated model of care in conjunction with partner agencies, good interpersonal skills and experience of team working is an essential requirement for this post.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
