We are currently seeking to recruit 2 Relief Out-of-Hours Drivers/Porters to join our team at Caithness General Hospital. The successful candidates will also be required to provide holiday and sickness cover. Applicants should hold a full, clean driving licence.
These are relief posts, with not set hours, working on an ‘as-and-when required’ basis, therefore the availability to cover at short notice is essential. We offer comprehensive induction and training.
Duties include transporting doctors engaged in NHS Highland Out-of-Hours activities in a dedicated vehicle between allocated calls and to note all details received from the Highland Hub in relation to call outs. To provide security back up for doctors and vehicles while providing assistance at the request of and in accordance with the instructions of the Duty Doctor or Head Porter. These posts also provide portering and driving duties to NHS Highland sites working in a positive manner, while demonstrating effectiveness and efficiency to service users at all times.
