An excellent opportunity has arisen for two 1st Level Registered Nurses (RMNs) who have a proven track record of leadership and management experience to join the Mental Health Management Team in Fife.   

We are looking for a Lead Nurse for Adult Inpatient Services and a Lead Nurse for Community Mental Health Services.  Both roles cover services across a number of hospitals and community settings within Fife, thus bases are negotiable.

You will be a Registered Mental Nurse with current NMC registration and evidence of continued professional development to degree level or equivalent.  You will have sinificant experience at Band 7 within a mental health care setting and be passionate about mental health services.

This is an exciting time for mental health nursing and as a visible clinical leader you will support opportunities for service redesign and transformational change in line with the objectives within the NHS Fife Clinical Strategy, Health and Social Care Partnership’s Strategic Plan and national professional nursing priorities.   

With operational line management responsibility you will support the delivery of high standards of safe, effective and person centred care within a robust framework of clinical, financial and staff governance. A priority for this role is to support co-production and engagement of both the workforce and service users in developing services. This will involve being proactive in working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues across health, social care, independent and voluntary sector to facilitate partnership working to deliver high quality mental health services in Fife. You will be a positive professional role model and will support the development of nursing practice, high standards of professionalism and champion Excellence in Care.

Offering a strong knowledge and understanding of current mental health policy and evidence base, you will work closely with the Clinical Service Manager and Head of Nursing to develop sustainable services and support a holistic approach to the health and wellbeing of people within mental health services. You will evidence on-going professional and personal development and a commitment to support the development of others.
