Applications are being sought for the post of Research Administrator (2 x Post funded for 2 years in the first instance) in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHS GGC).  NHS GGC is looking to appoint 2 Research Administrators, to support the delivery of grant applications. Project approvals, Research database updates, processing of study amendments and accurate patient recruitment tracking.  You will be responsible for all of the administrative duties associated with the delivery of research project approvals and all of the associated admin. tasks.  This work will involve working closely with our R&D Finance Accountants, Research Facilitators, Research Co-ordinators, Research Information Office, NRS Performance Manager, associated departments and the Senior Management Committee and Consultants and with our colleagues in University Research offices and those positioned in affiliated Health Boards.  We are looking for someone with exceptional administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and time management. Experience of managing research projects within the NHS is desirable and an understanding of research terminology will be invaluable.  You should have good communication skills.  You will be a key member of the R&D Systems team in Glasgow and will work closely with colleagues in the Sponsor Pharmacy team, Clinical Research Facility, Project Management Unit and Sponsor Governance.  You will be based at Dykebar Hospital, Paisley.  You should have a Degree in Business administration, Biological Science or equivalent experience.   Secondments would be welcomed.  If you intend to apply for the post on a secondment basis please seek the approval of your Line Manager prior to your application.  The shift pattern for this post is office based hours over 5 days.
