We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to take on the role of Care Group Lead Occupational Therapist for Community Rehabilitation Services. This role covers Occupational Therapists within a range of teams across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC)  and includes: Responsibility for the professional leadership and governance of Occupational Therapists (OTs) within the care group. Although OTs are operationally managed within multidisciplinary teams they have a professional link to the Network of OTs in Partnerships in NHS GG&C and the Allied Health Professionals Network in NHS GG&C. Providing  expert  clinical  knowledge  and  skills  to  support  OT  staff  and operational managers within the care group and supporting and contributing to the planning and development of the OT service for the care group in collaboration with operational managers whilst maintaining Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards within a clinical governance framework

 

It is essential you have a Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy hold current registration with the HCPC. You must also have relevant postgraduate experience including working in a leadership capacity and have a Masters Degree or equivalent experience. You must also be able to demonstrate ability to work as a senior representative of the profession and to determine occupational therapy policies and standards and ensure their successful implementation. Significant evidence of both service and professional development would be advantageous.


It is important that you have experience in the management of performance including supervision, appraisal and mentoring skills and is able to demonstrate experience of joint working with Clinical Team leaders, practice Team Leaders and Operational Managers.
