Advanced Cancer Care Pharmacist – Electronic Prescribing Band 8a
The post is offered as a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity* for two years.
The regional Chemotherapy Electronic Prescribing and Administration System (CEPAS) supports safe delivery of systemic anticancer therapy across the West of Scotland Cancer Network (WoSCAN). We are looking for a committed pharmacist for a fixed period.
The successful applicant will:
lead & co-ordinate the maintenance of the clinical elements of Chemocare
apply expert pharmaceutical knowledge to support ongoing safe use of the Chemocare prescribing module
lead a team of pharmacy super users across WoSCAN
provide expert clinical leadership and input to the Business as Usual CEPAS Team
Based in the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, You will be expected to travel to different sites in the four NHS Boards (Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Ayrshire and Arran, , and Lanarkshire) as required. You must have substantial post registration experience in a hospital pharmacy and a highly specialised level of cancer pharmaceutical care expertise. You must be able to demonstrate strong clinical and leadership skills and have excellent organisational, motivation and communication skills.
It is essential you have a Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and are
registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (Professional Registration body).
The shift pattern is normal office hours.
*Secondment – NHS employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and get the necessary approval prior to interview
