As part of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Digital Strategy, the board has initiated a major transformational programme that will introduce a hospital electronic prescribing and administration (HEPMA) system to all inpatient areas across the acute hospitals and mental health wards in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde by 2022.  We are looking for a highly experienced pharmacist with a record of delivering challenging programmes of work to lead the team responsible for development, implementation and ongoing management and innovation of the clinical aspects of the HEPMA programme.

You will have proven experience of managing and leading teams, a dynamic and progressive approach to service improvement and an ability to engage and influence the multidisciplinary team.

You will be educated to Masters Degree in Pharmacy or have evidence of equivalent knowledge and skills, be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council of and have a post graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.

The successful candidate will lead a pharmacy team responsible for the clinical implementation of HEPMA working collaboratively with Pharmacy Senior Management, eHealth and the wider multidisciplinary team across NHS GGC.  As well as planning, co-ordinating and ensuring safe implementation of HEPMA, you will, in collaboration with other West of Scotland Boards, have a lead role in maximising the potential benefits of HEPMA and in leading service development and research to ensure that the system is used to its full potential. 

The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.
