A vacancy has arisen for an experienced senior mental health nurse to work within the Health and Social Care Partnership for Clacks and Stirling. The post holder will be based at Livilands Resource Centre, Stirling Community Hospital.
We are looking for a registered mental health nurse with previous post registration experience, which should include experience in an acute or community setting and mentoring /supervisory experience. Experience of managing staff is desirable.
For this post you require highly developed communication and assessment skills are essential and you should have the specialist knowledge and clinical competencies required to plan the provision and evaluation of evidence based interventions for adults with a variety of severe and enduring mental health needs.
This post will include the operational management of the mental health resource centre which includes CMHT and Day Unit roles and responsibilities.
You will need to have the ability for integrated team working and have knowledge of Integration Agenda and Legislation. You must also be highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, who can actively contribute to the development of the service and be able to demonstrate commitment to professional development.
You will also be expected to provide advice, support and guidance on the mental health and wellbeing of adults to a variety of other agencies/partners, therefore experience of joint working and a knowledge and understanding of current Mental Health Act, Adults with Incapacity, Adult Support and Protection and Community Care legislation is necessary.
