An excellent opportunity has arisen for a high calibre finance professional to join Angus Health and Social Care Partnership in the role of Partnership Finance Manager.


Angus Health and Social Care Partnership, a partnership between Angus Council and NHS Tayside, oversees health and social care services for the population of Angus. In 2019/20 the Partnership’s annual budget will be c£170m. In April 2019, we published our latest Strategic Commissioning Plan (available here: https://www.angushscp.scot/publications/ ) setting out our plans and aspirations for period to 2022.


We now require to recruit to the new post of Partnership Finance Manager to support the overall financial management of the Partnership. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a fast paced, complex and rewarding environment at the interface of health and social care provision.


You will work closely with the Partnership’s Chief Finance Officer, the existing team of finance staff who support the Partnership and the Partnership’s management team. Your role will be to be to assist the Chief Finance Officer through supporting, delivering and co-ordinating activities associated with financial governance, financial reporting and financial management and strategic financial planning.


You will be expected to provide professional leadership, take responsibility for a range of finance issues and to contribute generally to the delivery of an effective and responsive financial service to the Partnership. Your personal drive for improvement, ability to work on your own initiative and ability to take people with you while modernising working practices and implementing change will all be important. This new role is expected to make a major impact on the Partnership from a financial management, general management and service delivery perspective.   


We are looking for a dynamic candidate with excellent technical, analytical, organisational and information technology/business skills, leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure both effective working with a wide range of stakeholders and the ability to influence leaders across a broad partnership.


You will be a qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification experience in a large and complex organisation.
