The Primary Care Liaison Worker post is an essential part of the Doing Well Team.
You will be responsible for the assessment and management of a caseload of patients referred from primary care, using evidence based/client centred principles. You will also be closely involved in the development of the service with regard to pathways of clinical care in the provision of specialist services for the treatment of depression & anxiety and provide specialist advice to other health care professionals.
You should have the ability to work autonomously and have the ability to demonstrate the initiative required of the 'Primary Care Mental Health Team.
It is essential you are a Registered Mental Nurse or an Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration and have substantial post registration experience. A working knowledge of psychological therapies is essential. You must have a qualification in the 5 Areas/SPIRIT training or the UWS 5 Areas course. Further post registration qualifications relevant to this speciality are desirable.
Education and training of other health care professionals is also a major
component for the job and the Primary Care Liaison Worker is also extensively involved in clinical audit activities to promote innovative practice with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
