In conjunction with the management team you will contribute to and deliver a comprehensive Primary Care, Mental Health and Addictions nursing service as part of a multi disciplinary team within the prison setting.
You will operate as part of an extensive multi-disciplinary team, providing the role of the practitioner nurse is to undertake assessments, provide and evaluate a range of interventions, to meet prisoner healthcare needs and contribute to the wider continuous development of prison healthcare services.
You should be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and treatment options to provide clinical guidance to all staff on matters relating to health and wellbeing.
You will also carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care and setting the standards of care within a secure environment.
This post is primarily based at HMP Low Moss however can be moved between the three prison sites if needed to meet exigencies of the service
It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration and are educated to degree level or equivalent. You should also have post registration experience working within a relevant clinical setting.
The shift pattern has to be confirmed.
