Quality Systems Administration Officer - Fixed Term Contract / Secondment for 18 months
As a major division within the NHS National Services Scotland, the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role not only in the health of the people of Scotland but also on an international scale  through our leading position in new product development, biomedical research and donor services.  Our goal is to maintain the highest standards to patient care whilst remaining internationally competitive.

The role of the SNBTS Quality and Regulatory Compliance Directorate is to develop and deliver a Quality Management System throughout SNBTS, which satisfies regulatory requirements whilst ensuring a high quality, efficient transfusion process from donor to patient. Members of the SNBTS Quality Team require to be forward thinking and imaginative with the drive and self-motivation to relish a challenge.

A temporary vacancy for 18 months has arisen within the Quality and Regulatory Compliance Directorate, in the Quality Systems Team for the post of Quality Systems Administration Officer. The post is based in the Jack Copland Centre, Edinburgh.

Applicants for this Post should be educated to at least Advanced Higher Level or equivalent, have a high level of competence in office administration including excellent communication skills, personal organisation and advanced keyboard skills.  A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel) is also required and confidence working in a high-throughput office environment. An understanding of the NHS Scotland and/or experience working in a healthcare environment would be advantageous.

Currently there is no routine requirement for “out of hours” or shift working for this post.
