This post offers an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join an established Occupational Therapy team within the area of older adult mental health inpatients. You will manage a defined caseload and will carry out Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation to patients with Dementia. You will work with patients on an individual and group work basis and will work as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to manage the day to day input of the Band 4 Technical instructor and Band 3 support worker within the area and undertake clinical supervision. You will plan and implement client centred individual and/or group interventions, using skills to assess, grade, modify, review and evaluate clinical intervention to deliver therapeutic goals and maximised functional independence and rehabilitation potential within your specialist area. It is essential that you have Diploma / degree in Occupational Therapy and that you are registered with Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). You should have knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday.
