Post: CONSULTANT in CLINICAL MICROBIOLOGY
This post will be based South Sector Microbiology Service, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The post holder will join a team giving a total of 9 consultants providing a proactive clinical microbiology and infection control service.
The microbiology departments in NHSGGC provide an integrated diagnostic Microbiology and Virology service to the population of Glasgow and Clyde, including the Primary Care Division. This service includes a full range of diagnostic bacteriology, serology, and molecular diagnostics. In addition, the North Glasgow Laboratory hosts a range of National Microbiology Reference Services
Applications must have full GMC registration, a licence to practice. Those trained in the should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview.
