The Decontamination Team provide highly specialised, expert decontamination advice, guidance and support on a range of decontamination of reusable medical devices. The post holder will work closely with a short life working group, the expert steering group known as RMD-DOG, the members of the Decontamination Team, National Procurement, relevant suppliers and manufacturers.  The Principal activity is in relation to the NSS Decontamination Collaborative Programme (DCP) developing business cases.
In addition, the postholder is required to work with other teams within NSS. Regular communications, at a variety of different levels, will be required with external organisations such as the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorate, NHS Education for Scotland and regulatory bodies such as MHRA etc.


The post holder will be expected to work to defined budget targets and to assist in monitoring aspects of finance e.g. payments to sub-contractors and travel budgets. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the project runs to schedule.
You will have a relevant degree or equivalent with evidence of continuing professional development with a relevant post graduate professional qualification.  You will have excellent written, oral communication and persuasion skills. You will have proven experience of project management with formal project management training preferred.  Experience of using information for management purposes and in setting and monitoring targets and performance indicators is required.


This post is offered on a fixed term basis, 37.5 hours per week over 18 months.
