Looking for an experienced MSK physiotherapist to work in acute hospital and various community based sites within west quadrant initially based in Vale of Leven physiotherapy department as part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde MSK Physiotherapy Service. You should have substantial post graduate experience with relevant experience within an MSK specialty. Self Referral allows patients to refer themselves into the service; referrals are also accepted from GP’s and Consultants. You will therefore be required to triage, prioritise and manage an unpredictable patient group effectively and efficiently. You will be responsible for identifying those patients with the risk of serious pathology who require urgent referral to other services e.g. A&E, G.P. and back pain service and appropriately manage the ongoing referral. Using clinical reasoning skills to assess, analyse and interpret both clinical and non clinical information and provide a comprehensive clinical diagnosis for individual patients, to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention. This includes patients with complex presentations. It is essential that you have a Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy and that you are currently registered with the HCPC.
