An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our skilled clinical team in delivering surgical care for the population of Tayside and North east Fife due to the promotion of the previous post-holder. Ward 8 forms an integral role in the management of patients with Acute Surgical Conditions as part of the Acute Surgical Receiving Unit. The Acute Surgical Receiving Unit is participating in a major transformational programme and we are, therefore, seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to work at a senior level with the skills and passion to deliver care in this fast paced environment.
Ward 8 provides Unscheduled Care for patients within the Surgical Clinical Group and includes the specialities of Colorectal, Urology, Vascular and Upper GI/HPB surgery as well as the general surgical patient. This post provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to enhance their surgical skills at a senior level and offers a variety of development and educational prospects in a well supported environment.
You will work within a clinical team that values patient safety, delivery of safe, effective high quality care within a challenging surgical environment. You should be motivated and committed to provide a high standard of professional nursing care, with a proven ability to influence changes in practice. You should be able to work well within a large and diverse team and demonstrate your ongoing learning with supporting evidence.
These roles will provide further opportunities to influence and develop nursing practice within the clinical area. Applicants should have extensive experience at Band 5 level within an acute setting with proven ability to utilise effective leadership to influence change. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to improving standards of patients care.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the NMC
Register.
Hours or work: various hours working day/night rotation
