This exciting role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care. This role will involve delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patents with their medicines. This patient facing role will involve taking on a prescribing role and developing your own clinical case load in   line with   achieving   excellence strategy objectives. You should be qualified independent prescriber or be prepared to work towards this qualification. Your role will be to work as a member of the North West  HSCP prescribing support  team.  The  objectives  of the team  are to  improve the  quality and  cost effectiveness  of  prescribing  and  medicines  use  for   patients  across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde North East and South .    You   should   have   a sound clinical  knowledge,    good IT skills, and excellent communication     and interpersonal skills and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will also work on joint projects/initiatives within the HSCP as required and promote awareness of prescribing management issues. You should have a Masters Degree in Pharmacy with current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have significant post registration experience.  Experience of directly working with primary care teams and knowledge of GP systems would be advantageous.

 

The shift pattern is 5/7.
