An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist in Stroke Rehabilitation to join our Physiotherapy Inpatient Team based in Cameron Hospital as part of the Integrated Community Assessment and Support Service (ICASS) for the East Division.
The main role of this post will be delivering rehabilitation to the Stroke Ward (Letham), although there will be times when input will be required in any of the other wards.
Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team you will be expected to carry out specific assessments, ongoing treatment programmes and allocate work to support staff. Supervision skills would be desirable.
You will have good organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as within the team.
You will require to have a degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC. It would be essential to have experience working with older people and desirable to have worked specifically with Stroke patients.
There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites within the Division.
Our service offers regular supervision, PDP and supports training opportunities.
The ability to travel throughout the area is essential.
Public holiday working is in operation, accept Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Future evening and weekend work will be part of the ongoing developments.
Please note the salary for this post is pro rata for part time hours.
