SPECIALIST SERVICES DESK SUPERVISORS (Full Time - Shift Working with relief element)
A rare opportunity has arisen for a supervisory position within the Specialist Services Desk.
The Specialist Services Desk is the single point of contact for clinicians and multidisciplinary teams looking to access the specialised Air Ambulance, pre-hospital and retrieval services.
The post holder will require a good understanding of the operational work undertaken by all specialist teams and the pressures they face. The post holder will be able to offer logistical solutions when complex issues arise, have the ability to adapt in an ever changing fast paced environment and manage the expectation of the team and wider stakeholders on a daily basis. Due to the critical and traumatic nature of the work, the post holder requires the ability to offer emotional support to staff and the wider team when required. The supervisor holds responsibility for the decisions made within the Specialist Services team daily.
The supervisor will be responsible for supporting staff through their professional development. Successful applicants will take part in initial and ongoing training and familiarisation sessions designed and delivered by colleagues in the Scottish Transport and Retrieval Service (ScotSTAR).
