Some exciting opportunities have arisen within Forth Valley Royal Hospital ward B31 for kind, caringhard working, flexible and motivated Registered Nurses to join our respiratory nursing team. The successful applicants will be responsible for the assessment of patient’s needs and the planning, implementation and evaluation of patient centered care while supporting clinical care standards within the ward environment. This will ensure that Quality Standards and Key Performance Indicators are fully met. You will work in a very fast paced environment looking after acute medical/ respiratory patients. Experience in respiratory nursing desired but you will quickly become familiar with all respiratory conditions for example COPD, Asthma, Interstitial lung disease, pneumothorax and pleural effusions. We do also support patients with Lung cancer within our ward aim for patients and their families to have the best experience they can at this very difficult time.

You will become an expert in chest drains, low flow suction, palliative high flow oxygen, end of life care and dealing with the acutely unwell adult.

If you should possess excellent communication and organizational skills and have the ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team working very closely with the respiratory specialist and the lung cancer nurses. You must have the ability to promote high quality person centered care, with a genuine interest in respiratory medicine.  You must have a willingness and appetite for life-long learning to develop and enhance your own personal and professional development and contribute to the professional development of others within your area, while being responsible for your own learning. You will be expected to work a flexible work pattern which includes days, night, weekend and public holiday rotation. Some post registration experience is required.
