The above posts offer an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated family support workers to join the school nursing service within NHS Forth Valley. We want to ensure children; young people and their families receive the right support at the right time.

Candidates should have a high standard of communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work within a team and on their own initiative. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to and show a deep understanding of family issues and should have experience of delivering a variety of support programmes for both children, young people, and their caregivers. A willingness to work with partner agencies, under the supervision of the School Nurse Team Leader is also essential.

Candidates should hold or be working towards achieving a relevant SCQF qualification at level 7/8 related to children and young people e.g. Higher National Diploma/ Certificate in Children and Young People’s health and wellbeing or equivalent.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
