An excellent opportunity, within Ward 2 Bo’ness Community Hospital enthusiastic, flexible and self motivated Clinical Support Workers who are committed to the provision of safe, consistent patient centred quality care.

The wards provide direct patient nursing care for people with people with complex care needs, palliative and end of life care needs and rehabilitation requirements.

Boness ward 2 is a clinical area where all patients are on their own specific dementia journey, where all differential types and stages of dementia are monitored over the 24 hour period. Assistance is provided by all clinical staff, to offer a safer environment, control aggressive and agitated behaviours, through the utilisation of stress and distress distraction techniques.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and carry out routine and essential nursing care for patients in support of and supervised by Registered Nurse. You should have excellent communication skills which include effective written skills and a good working knowledge of IT systems

The role will include various clinical skills which include venepuncture, catheter care, blood glucose monitoring, and other appropriate clinical observations without supervision following the relevant training if required.

You will provide support to other members of the multidisciplinary team including registered nurses and student nurses.

You will also carry out assigned duties to meet the patients’ needs that will ensure that they are cared for appropriately.
