Fixed Term / Secondment Opportunity* for 3 months due to improvement in service delivery.

An opportunity for a fixed term or secondment has arisen for a motivated candidate to undertake the role of the Primary Care Contracts Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for a person who would thrive in a varied and vital role and is looking to add to their administrative skillset.

The post holder has responsibility for the effective administration of contractual matters involving Primary care providers including, GPs, Dentists, Pharmacists and Optometrists under the guidance of other team members and the Contracts Manager. In engaging with Primary Care providers, the candidate will utilise excellent communication and problem solving skills to support the effective delivery of Family Health services via Primary Care Contractors. Responsibilities will include administering operational priorities such as service agreements, payment processes and providing advice and guidance on contractual matters.

The duties included in this role provide a genuine prospect for networking and engaging with a number of departments across the Health Board to enable the post holder to develop their skills and knowledge of the wider Health Board setting, as well as the more specialised Primary Care setting.

General office duties are required in this post, which include answering telephone enquiries, generating reports, ensuring accurate payments are made to contractors and assisting work colleagues as required. Out with this, tasks can include being involved in and note taking for high level Primary Care meetings, attending and contributing to internal team meetings, and developing and implementing ideas for improvement.
