A full time position has arisen within the Acute Services Directorate for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual, who has the desire to develop on a personal and professional basis, and who will deliver a quality secretarial service to the Specialty Team.

You will have an HNC or SVQ 111 in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration with relevant experience in secretarial/audio typing, together with a sound knowledge of office procedures, the ability to work accurately under pressure, work co-operatively within a team and have a mature outlook.

Duties of the post will include:

  • Provide a quality audio typing service to ensure the smooth operation of

clinical letters within Acute Services Directorate.

  • Transcribe letters, using G2 dictation system.
  • Manage patient enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner.

Medical terminology is desirable together with good organisational skills and flexibility in approach to work, which are essential.
