 Fixed Term or secondment opportunity for 12 months to cover substantive post holders maternity leave

*Secondment Opportunity – Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager.  The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.

Opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic health visitors with current practice experience to work part time on a fixed term basis, within health visiting teams based in all 3 local authority areas comprising NHS Forth Valley, to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidates will become key members of the health visiting team with which they are based. The Health Visiting Service works with a varied client population, including children and families with known vulnerabilities, and covers the geographical areas of Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire.

The successful candidates should be experienced in the areas of caseload management, child protection, working with vulnerable families and health improvement work.  Good communication and organisational skills, coupled with an ability to work within a team setting as well as independently, will be essential requirements of these posts.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
