CATERING SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Chef/Cook
Band 3 - £19,945 to £21,947 pro rata
Plus £1,043 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata
Fixed Term Contract for 6 months
23 Hours per Week
(Shifts include 7:30am – 3:15pm & 2:00pm - 7:00pm)

We require looking for a talented Chef/Cook to join our existing team. Duties will include producing and serving of high quality meals for patients, staff and external customers. You will also be required to interpret and manage all operational aspects of the kitchen and associated areas i.e. Deliveries / preparation / storage rooms, wash up, including supervision of staff working in these areas.
Preferred experience within a commercial/industrial background would be an advantage but not necessary, retail experience would also be advantageous. You would be expected to have comprehensive knowledge of food hygiene & H.A.C.C.P. regulations and have good all round food preparation, leadership & supervisory skills in order to carry out this job successfully.
Candidates would require City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or SVQ level 3 (catering) and an Intermediate food hygiene certificate essential.

Candidates should have good leadership & communication skills and a self motivated approach to work and an ability to work on their own initiative. A full clean driving licence is desirable. You must be able to work flexible shift pattern, including weekends.
