An opportunity has arisen within the Accident and Emergency Department of the Belford Hospital for a Registered Nurse with demonstrable, post registration, acute nursing experience.

 

The A&E Department provides a 24-hour service for approximately 11,500 new attendances annually. We see a significant amount of Outdoor Pursuits associated injuries in addition a significant amount of stabilisation, assessment & transfer coordination of acutely unwell & traumatised patient as well as the wide range of A&E & Minor Injuries work.  This post offers opportunities to gain valuable skills specific to the rurality of the hospital.  We encourage education and progression to Advanced Practice. The department operates an 11.5 hour shift system with some 6 & 8 hour shifts available.  Night duty rotation is an essential aspect of the job.

 

We are looking for someone who is caring and enthusiastic; with an ongoing aim of continuing to learn and develop. You will enjoy working in a team but have the ability to work independently within your range of skills. Patient safety & clinical governance will be high on your priorities of care.
