Job Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 registered nurse to join our Respiratory In patient team in Forth Valley Royal Hospital.  The ward is a 32 bedded unit within the medical directorate, which provides 24 hour acute and respiratory care.   We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, highly motivated nurses with a passion for delivering excellent standards of care even under pressure. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As part of the multi-disciplinary team work closely within the Respiratory and Lung services and also have regular contact with other specialties within the hospital and community setting.

You will have the opportunity to learn and develop specialist skills in the assessment and care of the Respiratory patient.  You will be supported in your role with ongoing training which includes the completion of specific core competencies.   As part of the multi-disciplinary team the post holder will have the responsibility for assessment, delivery and supervision of the care needs or their patients.

You will play an integral role in communicating with multiple staff in all aspects of the care journey to ensure our patients and families are well informed and clear about their treatment.

You will have the opportunity to progress your own professional development and gain specialist knowledge and skills by having access to a range of informal learning opportunities and also CPD sessions.

The successful applicant must demonstrate an interest and understand the complexities of caring for patients who have complex respiratory disease.  Although not essential ideally the post holder would have Respiratory experience.  You will be expected to act as a positive role model to junior and unregistered staff, demonstrating an interest in the development of the unit and working towards maintaining and improving the standards of care.

For informal enquiries contact Senior Charge Julie Jack 01324 567313
