Consultant(s) in General Internal Medicine and Respiratory or Renal Medicine. Applications are invited for the above positions, which combines General (Internal) Medicine in Perth Royal Infirmary and Sub-speciality Sessions delivered in both Perth and Dundee. These posts are available to replace a retiring respiratory colleague and to supplement our current model of inpatient General Internal Medicine.
We are looking for two new colleagues to help us deliver excellent medical and subspecialty care to our vibrant District General Hospital with opportunities for sub-specialty interests across NHS Tayside. Perth Royal Infirmary has a 1 in 12 Acute Medical Receiving rota which includes weekend and overnight on-call. In addition, the successful applicant will take part in postgraduate training and education along with opportunities to collaborate in research, and quality improvement.
The successful applicants will contribute to inpatient General Internal Medicine inpatients (including their specialty) on a one in three basis in Perth Royal Infirmary with the rest of time dedicated to specialty on both sites. This is delivered as 2 weeks G(I)M 'hot' block followed by a month of uninterrupted outpatients and specialty work.
Candidates should possess MRCP and be on the GMC Specialist Register in General Internal Medicine or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) at the time of interview for the post.
