We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated optometrist to join our department on a part time basis (14.9 hours/2 days.) You will work within core optometry clinics (complex refraction for adults and paediatrics, low vision assessment, medical contact lens management) and extended scope roles in the ophthalmology sub-speciality clinics (glaucoma, AMD, corneal/dry eye, emergency clinics.) This presents an ideal opportunity to experienced community optometrists who wish to expand their knowledge base further, previous hospital experience is not essential. The multidisciplinary team at FV currently consists of 11 consultant ophthalmologists, ANP’s, staff nurses, orthoptists and ophthalmic technicians as well as 8 optometrists. Post holder should have BSc(hons) Optometry and must hold GOC registration, AOP (or similar) indemnity and have proven post registration experience. You should have DipTP(IP) or be working towards College of Optometrists CFA. Ideally you will also hold college of optometrists higher qualifications or be prepared to work towards these as role development
