Due to expansion of theatre and minor operation department, we are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our stores team within the Operating Department of Forth Valley Royal Hospital,

The role will entail day to day oversight of the Stores and the team of staff, to ensure appropriate stock levels for all surgical and anaesthetic requirements. Frequent use of computer systems to aid ordering, stock control and forward planning. There is no budgetary responsibility, this will be supported by line manager and operational manager, but you will be required to order appropriate goods available or not available via National Procurement by using all relevant NHS contracts and or recommended suppliers.

The successful candidate will demonstrate: Excellent communication skills across a variety of media, be required to produce verbal and written reports for stock inventory, using Forth Valley ordering systems.

A minimum of SVQ III or equivalent gained through a combination of experience, knowledge and on the job training or completion of short courses.

Knowledge of NHS Forth Valley’s Purchasing procedures is preferable but experience of a large public sector organisation would be considered.
