Applications are invited from Health and Care Professions Council state registered Biomedical Scientists or trainees to join our team providing a comprehensive Histopathology  and Diagnostic Cytology Service in the Central Scotland area. The post will be based at . The Laboratory provides Histology, Cytology, Andrology and Mortuary support to the acute hospital and General Practice.

Applicants must have;

  • A BSc honours degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent, which is acceptable for HCPC registration and either completion or working towards  the Institute of Biomedical Science registration portfolio. There is an expectation that State Registration will be achieved in 1 year from appointment.
  • Formal evidence of specialist knowledge of a range of discipline specific procedures to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
