Our Acute Directorate is looking for a Head of Service who will have responsibility for the delivery of efficient, safe and effective Diagnostic services within NHS Forth Valley. This will cover Clinical Chemistry, Blood Sciences, Microbiology, Histopathology, Radiology and Audiology.

The post holder will be educated to master’s level or equivalent with evidence of continued personal development and possess relevant professional qualifications or equivalent levels of professional and technical knowledge through relevant managerial experience. Additionally, it will be essential to have a demonstrable track record of success in an operational leadership role within a diagnostics environment including evidence of successful leadership in service improvement and innovation. An excellent understanding of robust governance within the diagnostics environment is essential.
