The post forms part of the Business Team and provides comprehensive secretarial and business administrative support to Acute / community & CAMHS team (s) & ward 4 based at Royal Hospital for Children as part of maternity leave cover. You will contribute significantly to efficient provision of a variety of secretarial and administrative duties. You will work independently for much of the time and demonstrate a clear understanding of the service. The post involves coordinating administration support to the Business Team (s), and wider MDT team (s) as required under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Business Officer in the first instance. Duties will include all general admin duties, scanning, mail, processing referrals, managing calls/enquiries, emails, audio typing, and use of electronic patient management systems. Any adhoc administration duties as an when required. Continual prioritisation of workload and the ability to be an effective team player is essential. You must be able to demonstrate competency in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL and have a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience. You should also have a good knowledge of office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role. Full training and induction will be provided. This post is fixed term for 12 months and the hours will be worked Monday to Friday 9am to 12.45pm.
