A vacancy has arisen for a qualified specialist practitioner within the District nursing service in Stirling/ Clackmannan Clinical Services Directorate.

This is a permanent band 6 post as per Agenda for change. The post holder will be required to work across the CSD and can be asked to cover other caseloads within the area. Weekend working and variable shift pattern is required on a flexible rotational basis.

The post holder will have a District Nursing qualification (degree or diploma) or be working towards a District nursing qualification and have relevant experience within community nursing.

It is expected if the Advanced Clinical Examination (ACE) or Advanced Nurse Prescribing qualification is not currently held it will be completed in the first year of post.

It is desirable that you have some experience in leading/ managing a team and also in caseload management. You must be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to work with different professional groups. It is desirable that the successful applicant be able to demonstrate an interest in quality improvement work and change management. They should also have a good awareness of national policies and a willingness to take an active lead in the implementation of these policies locally.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
