An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of the most forward looking and progressive NHS Boards to lead the Pharmacy Mental Health Specialties Team and Medicines Management Team as well as leading on the Pharmacy digital, e-health and medicines governance agenda across the board.  We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic individual seeking a new challenge as a senior leader within Pharmacy to fulfil the role of Associate Director of Pharmacy for Mental Health Specialties, Governance and Systems.

If successful, you will be welcomed into working with a dynamic Pharmacy Leadership Team who are committed to the provision of high quality pharmaceutical care for patients residing within Forth Valley.

Our Pharmacy Leadership Team are committed to advancing pharmacy professional roles and the postholder will be someone who is a registered pharmacist who has excellent communication, negotiation, and strong leadership skills. You will have a proven track record of motivating, inspiring and developing teams, and will be able to demonstrate how you have led continual improvement of pharmacy services. The postholder will be responsible for the line management, team development and service improvement for the Mental Health Specialties Pharmacy Service (supported by the Lead Pharmacists in this area), Medicines Management Team, Digital eHealth Pharmacy Team and Education and Training Pharmacy Team. You will also lead on the development of advanced and specialist pharmacy practice to enable and support an integrated, flexible pharmacy workforce across Forth Valley, as well as providing leadership and support to colleagues in relation to the optimal use of medicines across the board.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Pharmacy and will be a crucial member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team as well as a key stakeholder across the whole system and will support the Director of Pharmacy with the strategic development of pharmacy services and the medicines governance agenda. Because this is a new post, there will also be the potential to review the portfolio areas aligned with this post.
