Assistant Head of Estates
Base – Paisley/Edinburgh
Permanent – 37.5 Hours per Week
AFC Band 8a – £45,446 to £51,883 per annum
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Assistant Head of Estates to join our Estate Department.
The applicant would be educated to degree level, hold a professional Engineer (electrical) qualification (Chartered membership of appropriate institute e.g. Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineering, Institute of Electrical Engineers) and have specialist knowledge (e.g. Highly developed technical knowledge of complex plant, equipment & services, environmental management and sustainability) acquired through post graduate courses and experience to masters equivalent
The purpose of the role is to provide direction for the development of the Service’s estate and lead in the implementation of the property asset management strategy. To ensure the provision of a high quality, value for money portfolio of non-clinical services in support of the Service’s objectives and ensuring the Service’s owned and leased estate is managed effectively. To lead the business development function of Estates Services, ensuring new business fits with the strategic vision and organisational value of the Service. To provide senior management and leadership of the Scottish Ambulance Service Estates Services.
Although the vacancy is based primarily in Paisley, there will be a requirement to be based at least 2 days a week at our National Headquarters in Edinburgh and travel throughout Scotland will be required. A driving license is essential.
