This role will provide a specialised clinical psychology service to clients and partners of the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service, which includes specialist
and national contracts. The Clinical Psychologist is required to provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within
professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures, across all sectors of care. You will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the Trauma Service. It is essential you have Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. Current registration with the HCPC as a clinical psychologist is also required. You should also have significant supervised clinical psychology practice experience in NHS or equivalent by a suitably qualified Clinical Psychologist. The hours of this post are worked 9.00am to 5.00pm.
