An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join an established team in J North, Medical Receiving Unit at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. We are currently in the process of opening a 4 bed medical assessment room within the ward area which will be staffed during the day for 12 hours Monday to Sunday. This is essential to expediate same day discharges and reduce the number of patients admitted overnight. You will be supported by the on call Consultant, Band 5 Registered Nurse and a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker. There will also be input where required from the DVT and Chest Pain Nurse SpecialistsYou will be responsible to the Lead Nurse and be expected to work on your own merit. You should also be innovative and creative within your organisational role.  It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with previous medical experience.   You should be educated at Masters Level in advanced practice and you are assessed as competent in this level of practice. As a clinical leader they have the freedom and authority to act and accept the responsibility and accountability for those actions. This level of practice is characterised by high level autonomous decision making, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment including prescribing, of patients with complex multi-dimensional problems.  It is essential that you are recorded as a Nurse Independent/Supplementary Prescriber (V300) with the NMC

The shift pattern is fully rotational
