A position has become available for an Assistant Practitioner to support Biomedical and Clinical Scientific staff in the development and implementation of an enhanced drugs of abuse service. Analysis will be performed be means of Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) on state of the art equipment. You will carry out tasks such as reception duties, sample extraction, equipment maintenance and other tasks required to support this service.

The post will be based within the Toxicology section of the Biochemistry Department at but will work in conjunction with the Greater Glasgow & Clydes Alcohol and Drugs recovery service



It is essential that candidates have an HND in Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification. You should have excellent communication skills with an ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.


This is a full time (37.5) post covering hours between 0845 and 1700 Monday-Friday
