We are interested in hearing from registered ODP's/ Theatre & Recovery Nurses with relevant post-registration qualification experience and proven scrub/anesthetic skills. As an essential part of our Theatre team, you'll deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care at all times. We can offer you a varied surgical caseload that will help you develop your capabilities and experience and you'll enjoy the real respect, rapport and effective working of a close-knit, highly skilled, multidisciplinary team. We are seeking to recruit experienced band 5 theatre practitioners to join the existing theatre team.

 

The Theatre Suite consists of Neurosurgical and Oral Maxillo Facial Surgery specialties. These 2 specialties offer experience in difficult airway management and multi-specialty highly complex procedures. The department provides 24 hour cover and staff will be expected to participate in a fully flexible rota system, including weekends, rotation to night duty and on call.

 

You should have a genuine desire to become part of the multi professional team and care for the patients within the chosen specialty. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and act as role model to the rest of the team and the nursing students who are frequently placed within the theatre department.

 

You will demonstrate a commitment to undertake ongoing in-service training and development. We offer excellent opportunities for personal development, for example, for newly qualified nurses we can offer a rotational program through our theatre suite, with an established supportive education program.
