This post is for 2 part time positions: 15 hours and 22.5 hours.

To reduce the risk of injury from manual handling incidents to staff in their designated area, in order to comply with NHS Lothian Manual Handling Policy, in line with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations (1992) and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1992). With support from the core Manual Handling team provide onsite manual handling competency assessment, expert onsite advice in relation to complex manual handling situations and conducting ergonomic workplace risk assessments with recommendations to facilitate safer systems of work. To reduce the musculo-skeletal sickness absence, in their designated area of work, associated with manual handling activities by providing manual handling advice, education and ongoing support.
